Our company was formed in 1992, with the development of precision crafted diamond blades. Over the next seven months, we retained a team of research and development engineers for extensive testing and research of all of our products. DEVELOPMENT OF SAWS In April 1995, we developed the first generation table saw. In April 1996, after eight months of development, we released our first patented model - the 1200 series 10" Tile Saw with 2 ½ HP. This model is the second generation of table saw and has been very successful since its introduction. Shortly thereafter, we introduced our second and third patented models - the 2200 series 12" Paver Saw 2 ½ HP and the Stärke 2500 series 10" 1 ½ HP tile saw. DEVELOPMENT OF DIAMOND BLADES In 1996, we introduced the hot press sintered blade to the public. At the same time, we purchased our laser-welded system and steel cores from the U.S. and shipped to our factory in China. By September, we brought our laser-welded segmented blades to the U.S. market. CO-ORDINATION BETWEEN FACTORIES IN CHINA AND U.S. OFFICE With our corporate office in California, U.S.A., LONGPOWERTM has designated personnel based in China to oversee production of all factories. In 1998, a centralized facility was set up in China for research and development, quality control, assembly, packaging and import/export functions. This new facility acts as the main link between the U.S. corporate office and our factories in China.
